Town of Summerfield issued the following announcement on March 20.

Please join the town for fun and celebration during our Founders' Day event!

The annual festival will run from 6pm until 10pm on Friday, May 19 and from 10am until 4pm on Saturday, May 20 at 7300-7400 Summerfield Road, next to Summerfield Fire Station #9.

Friday, May 19 entertainment includes:

• stage entertainment from Greensboro Performing Arts

• carnival rides

• variety of inflatables

• rock wall

• food trucks

• and more

Saturday, May 20 entertainment includes:

• 10am parade along Summerfield Road

• stage entertainment from Greensboro Performing Arts, Revolution Academy, Summerfield Charter Academy, and more

• carnival rides

• variety of inflatables

• rock wall

• forty local craft and business vendors

• Historical Committee Tent with displays and interactives

• Trails and Open Space Committee Tent with displays and interactives

• lawn games

• face painting

• caricaturist

• balloon twisting

• food trucks

• and more to come!

Saturday shuttle service from Laughlin Professional Development Center (7911 Summerfield Rd) will be provided on a continuous loop from 8:30am until 4:30pm.
