Town of Jamestown issued the following announcement on Oct. 10.
On Oct. 11th, the Town of Jamestown, NC in partnership with JUMC and A Moment in Time Memory Cafe will host a Dementia Awareness Conference. This event will run from 1-5pm in the Civic Center. Please RSVP with Elizabeth Greeson at Town Hall by calling 336-454-1138.
Alzheimer's disease is not a normal part of aging. Join us to learn about the impact of Alzheimer's, the difference between Alzheimer's and dementia: stages and risk factors: and current research and treatments available for some symptoms.
In addition, we will explore how communication changes throughout an Alzheimer's journey and identify the most common behavioral challenges of Alzheimer's disease all while taking a deep dive into intervention strategies.
We will also discuss Alzheimer's Association resources and support services.
