Town of Oak Ridge issued the following announcement on June 20.

What about local government?
If you answered yes to both questions, consider applying to be the teen advisor on the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board. The application link can be found on our website at www.oakridgenc.com at the bottom of the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board page under the tab for Boards and Committees.
The Board meets on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 7PM at the Oak Ridge Town Hall conference room primarily to discuss and plan projects, operations, and maintenance of the Oak Ridge Town Park.
