County of Guilford issued the following announcement on Jan. 16.
Winter Storm Izzy will be impacting our area with ice and snow. A mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain will lead to very hazardous driving conditions (nearly impossible in some areas) and the potential for widespread downed trees and power outages. As a result, all Guilford County Parks will be closed Sunday, Jan. 16 and Monday, Jan. 17. Guilford County Parks will remain closed Tuesday, Jan. 18 and Wednesday, Jan. 19.
