KERNERSVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT: Will Participate In No-Shave November/Do it Again December Campaign

Beard

Kernersville Police Department issued the following announcement on Oct. 22.

The Kernersville Police Department will be participating in the No-Shave November/Do it Again December campaign. During these months, male officers will be permitted to grow beards, and female officers will be permitted to paint their fingernails any color they choose. For officers to be eligible, they must donate money monthly. This money will then be donated to Brenner's Children's Cancer Fund.

The goal of No-Shave November and Do It Again December is to grow awareness by embracing our hair, which many cancer patients lose, and letting it grow. Donate the money you typically spend on shaving and grooming to educate about cancer prevention, save lives, and aid those fighting the battle.

So if you see our officers with a beard or with brightly colored nails, know that they donated to a very worthwhile cause.
