State Rep. John Faircloth (R-Guilford) shared an update on the work at the North Carolina Port noting the movement toward the Carolina Connector terminal being built.
The Republican lawmaker noted the significance of the ports when he shared the update post from North Carolina Ports Facebook page in late July.
“NC Ports is a thriving entity here in North Carolina, and the legislature has played a big role in its growth, success, and impact,” Faircloth wrote on his Facebook page on July 21.
North Carolina Ports shared its progress on the project as they are working to move the rail-mounted gantry cranes with the help of the Port of Wilmington.
“Once installed at CCX, the cranes will be used to move containers from rail to truck and vice versa. This is a great example of our ability to move project cargo through the Port of Wilmington,” North Carolina Ports wrote on its Facebook page on July 20.
