Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church recently issued the following announcement.
Are you asking yourself what day it is? Does it feel like April now has 164 days in it? Before the self isolating that Covid 19 has brought us, I thought it would be great to stay at home all the time for awhile. I am past that. I have tried to get caught up on housework and yard work. The interesting thing is that you never really get caught up. The laundry pile never seems to get smaller. It is always there!! We love cooking and we are cooking more, of course. But what does that create? More dirty dishes and a kitchen that is constantly in need of cleaning. I look around the house and yard and keep finding things that need to be done. I am not sure it is much better that it was when all this started.
It can easily get tiresome and depressing living in a self isolating world. Even with family around you. I think I am easily getting on my wife's and daughter's nerves. I am hearing more sighs and seeing the more than usual rolling of eyes.. We decided we needed some laughter to help us lift our spirits. Laughter helps us alleviate the worry and lighten the load. It helps to bring us peace. We started discussing some of our favorite comedies. We found some of our favorite bits of comedy on youtube. We thought it would be great to share some. If you have exhausted your library of shows on Netflix, Prime, and Hulu, please take a look at these. We hope that some do not date us too much. We hope they bring a smile and laugh, if just for a moment.

There are many more that I could share. I really enjoyed watching these and having a hearty laugh, taking myself away from the worry and fear for a bit. Remember that God gave us the ability to laugh and be happy. What are some of you favorites that can always make you laugh?
