Youth Ministry at Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church strives to be a holy way of living toward God and one another in grateful response for the gift of Jesus Christ. We hope to meet each individual youth where they may be in their journey of faith. This takes the time and dedication of many youth advisors and Sunday school teachers coupled with staff to provide a caring, updated, meaningful program. The key is understanding that relationships are a vital part of this ministry. As we relate to God and each other at ORPC, we realize that we must relate to others in the community and the world.
Youth Ministry at ORPC is balanced with scripture, song, prayer, fellowship, service, mission, and fun opportunities at home and in a broader context. On Sunday mornings we have 2nd Hour—faith formation for all at 11:15 am, January 12 - April 5 (no 2nd Hour on Jan. 26 and Feb. 2). Middle schoolers have a designated class in the Fellowship House, and high schoolers can participate in any of the available offerings. On Sunday nights we have Dinner at 6 pm and Youth Group at 6:30 pm in the Sanctuary (September through May).
