Have you been pumped by the wave of Afro-futuristic art sweeping pop culture -- from Black Panther to Janelle Monae to The Watchmen? Octavia Butler is THE preeminent writer and thinker of Afro-futurism. Please join us to geek out over blackness, scifi, freedom, imagined worlds, and smashing hierarchies (and enjoy light snacks!).
