On Tuesday, March 11, former Northwest Guilford High School standout Jackson Godfrey’s current college team, the Western Carolina Catamounts, lost 11-4 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Gardner–Webb Runnin’ Bulldogs.

The game took place at John Henry Moss Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Runnin’ Bulldogs this season.

The Catamounts’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 14 at 4 p.m. at Ronnie G. Childress Field at Hennon Stadium against Eastern Illinois Panthers.
