On Friday, Feb. 14, former Northern Guilford High School standout James Newsome’s current college team, the VMI Keydets, won 14-4 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks.

The game took place at Lamore Field at Gray-Minor Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Hawks this season.

The Keydets’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 14 at 4:20 p.m. at Lamore Field at Gray-Minor Stadium against Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks.
