On Friday, March 7, former Northern Guilford High School standout James Newsome’s current college team, the VMI Keydets, won 21-9 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Holy Cross Crusaders.

The game took place at Lamore Field at Gray-Minor Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Crusaders this season.

The Keydets’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 8 at 1 p.m. at Lamore Field at Gray-Minor Stadium against Holy Cross Crusaders.
