The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Hector Naun Flores-Flores on charges of fugitive from justice and immigration violation.

Guilford County has seen targeted immigration enforcement activity with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) recording 62 arrests in the area through early 2026. Neighboring Piedmont counties, including Forsyth, reported over 100 ICE arrests in the same period as part of regional operations, as reported by NC Local. ICE recorded a total of 6,374 arrests across North Carolina from 2025 to 2026.
Nationally, ICE averaged approximately 1,264 arrests per day from December 2025 to January 2026, a 300% increase over the previous year, according to the American Immigration Council. ICE says agents prioritize individuals with criminal convictions or pending charges, as well as immigration fugitives wanted for removal.
The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office, led by Sheriff Danny H. Rogers, serves a population of more than 500,000 residents and operates two detention centers with a combined rated capacity exceeding 1,300 inmates, according to its website.
