City Of Burlington Parks And Recreation Department issued the following announcement on Feb. 1.

Get Hiking! on the Haw River TrailSaturday, February 4 at 10 am free, but registration is required.

Get Hiking! is celebrating North Carolina Year of the Trail with guided, local and free hikes all year long. Join us on Saturday for a 3-mile, guided hike on the Haw River Trail. 

The trail is natural surface, but mostly flat with some roots, rocks, and likely some muddy sections from the rain we’ve had this week. 

Register at www.BurlingtonNC.gov/Outdoors. 

Registration ends on 2/3 at 8 pm.

All ages welcome. Minors to be accompanied by an adult.
